Overview
The Advanced Professional Development Course in Bullying and Cyberbullying offers a sound understanding of what bullying and cyberbullying are and, above all, of the interventions and strategies that can be put in place at the level of prevention. A highly topical subject that intertwines the risks associated with the use of the Internet with the protection of young people and the educational responsibility of schools and institutions.
The programme is aimed at a broad and motivated audience: State officials, professionals in the education sector, scholars and analysts of social phenomena, researchers from the university and scientific research world, as well as anyone who, driven by strong motivation, wishes to acquire concrete skills in the subjects covered. It is a particularly useful opportunity for updating for those who work in contact with children and adolescents.
The training is delivered entirely online: UNINTESS adopts the e-learning methodology, which allows you to attend the lessons anywhere and at any time, with only an Internet connection required. The study materials are delivered directly on the platform, meeting the demands of work, family and geographical distance.
The Course is organised into three parts that guide the participant from the basic knowledge through to the operational strategies for countering the phenomenon.
Part One · Basic knowledge
- The risks and dangers associated with the use of the Internet
- The definitions of bullying and cyberbullying
Part Two · Analysis of the phenomenon
- An in-depth analysis of the cyberbullying phenomenon
Part Three · Countering and intervention strategies
- Strategies for countering and intervening against cyberbullying
On completion of the programme, to enrolled students assessed as suitable following the passing of the prescribed examinations, UNINTESS issues a Diploma formally attesting the achievement of a high level of knowledge of the topics covered in the Course programme.
- Assessment: a single final test in the form of a multiple-choice test, passed with a minimum score of 18/thirtieths.
- Entry requirements: at least one of the following: an old-system degree, a specialist degree, a secondary school diploma or a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent foreign qualification.
- Timing: the examination may be taken at least one month after receiving the study materials and, in any case, within the 12th month following enrolment.
- Recognition: the Diploma does not carry ECTS credits issued by UNINTESS, but it may be submitted to your own Degree Course Board to be recognised as curricular ECTS credits; public administration staff are provided with the documentation needed to request any recognition of the Course.
