Overview
The Advanced Professional Development and Refresher Course in Cyber Warfare and Cyber Security was created to offer a comprehensive and innovative perspective on the challenges of cyber security, as strongly advocated by the European Union for the secure development and use of cyberspace. Through a markedly interdisciplinary approach, the programme guides participants towards an understanding of the dynamics of the cyber threat and of countermeasure strategies at national and supranational level.
The Course is aimed at a broad and highly qualified audience: State officials belonging to the Armed Forces, Police Forces, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Ministries and Parliament; professionals in business and critical infrastructure in the telecommunications, energy, transport, financial networks, defence and aerospace sectors; intelligence scholars and analysts; media and private security professionals; university researchers. More generally, it is open to anyone who, driven by strong motivation, wishes to acquire solid expertise in the field.
The training adopts the innovative e-learning methodology: study materials are delivered directly to the participant's email inbox, allowing them to follow the lessons anywhere and at any time with only an internet connection, thereby balancing work, family and geographical distance requirements.
The Course is organised into three modules that guide participants from an understanding of the cyber threat through to international countermeasure strategies.
