Overview
The Master's in Disaster Management and Civil Protection trains professionals capable of understanding, defining and classifying a major incident and of ensuring the correct management of integrated relief operations in large-scale emergencies. Developed along interdisciplinary lines, the programme aims to make uniform the basic preparation of all those who, regardless of their professional background, work in civil protection, restoring the complex figure of the Disaster Manager: the person who coordinates medical services and first aid, canine units, transport vehicles, firefighting teams and technicians for the reactivation of plants and public works.
The Master's is aimed at those who will be called upon to manage and coordinate the forces, both civil and military, engaged in relief activities: State employees, members of the Armed Forces and Police Forces, staff of Prefectures, Regions, Provinces and Municipalities, managers and middle managers of the Public Administration, freelance professionals, volunteers of civil protection organisations, as well as recent graduates and diploma holders wishing to specialise in the management of major emergencies.
Training takes place entirely online: UNINTESS adopts an e-learning methodology that overcomes barriers of space and time, delivering lessons directly to the participant's email inbox. A flexible approach, designed to reconcile study, work and family commitments.
